Hello Fall!!!

Although I left New York to escape the winter weather (after 10 years stomping around the city in the freezing cold + snow, it was time for a change), I have to admit I love the change of seasons and (almost) everything that comes along with that — falling red & orange leaves, the cool & brisk morning air, fall wardrobes and anything that has to do with PUMPKIN!

Last weekend, the clan and I were back in NY to celebrate Steele’s 2nd birthday, so I decided to meet up with a couple of my best friends for a family outing. My friend Jamie suggested we visit Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard ( in North Salem, NY. They host Weekend Festivals which includes:

  • Hayrides
  • Bouncy Castles
  • Bungee Trampolines
  • Live Music
  • Pumpkin & Apple Picking
  • Spiked Cider & Beer on Tap
  • Face Painting
  • Pony Rides
  • BBQ Food & Brick Oven Pizza
  • Kettle Corn
  • …..and of course, hot apple cider & donuts — which was exactly what I was looking for + more!

Needless to say, we had a ball (outside of me losing my wallet & Steele knocking over my cider that I was beyond excited for — such is life, I guess). The couple sips of hot cider I did have were divine and the hot cider donuts were pure heaven – definitely worth the hour drive! If you are in the NY, NJ, CT area, I would definitely check this place out, with or without the littles ones. They also have wine & whiskey tasting – which is a plus for those that drink. The only downside is it can get a little pricey – each activity is $5-$10/per person, otherwise it’s great for a perfect day-time fall outing.

Happy picking, lovelies!!
