THE BUMP: WEEK 22

Here we are at week 22 and how am I feeling?!?! LOVED! Overwhelmingly loved (and not just because it was my birthday yesterday either lol). It’s such an amazing feeling to be this loved & supported and it most certainly isn’t taken for granted. I thank those around me who continue to shower me with love but you know what?! Even if I didn’t feel this love from the outside world,  I’ll most definitely always feel it from myself. Self-love is the best love!!

I had my monthly checkup with my current OBGYN on Thursday and baby & I are strong and healthy. Currently I’m weighing in at 144 lbs – so I’ve gained 14 lbs since I found out I was pregnant. I’m trying to be conscious of eating more “whole” foods – lots of fruits & veggies, staying active by doing some type of movement almost every day and keeping myself stress-free. The latter isn’t always the easiest but if anyone knows the importance of keeping yourself in a good place during pregnancy – it’s me (circa my first pregnancy…we’ll talk about that later though)! Make sure YOU are doing everything you can to keep yourself in a good place, despite what is going on around you.

In other great news – we’d decided that we are going to have another home birth! We had such a magical experience with Steele that we wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ll be posting about my experience with having a home birth soon! Stay tuned….
